Ingredients for Stuffed Parwal Recipe

  • Parwal - 300 grams ( 10 - 12 ) Oil - 2 tbsp 
  • Asafoetida - 1 pinch 
  • Cumin - half teaspoon 
  • Green chili - 2-3 (finely chopped) 
  • Turmeric powder - half teaspoon 
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp 
  • Fennel powder - 2 powder 
  • Red chili - 1/4 tsp 
  • Amchur powder - 1/2 tsp 
  • Garam masala - 1/4 tsp 
  • Green Coriander - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Salt - as per taste (1/2 tsp)

Method   

  • Peel the parwal and cut the stalks on both sides.
  • Cut the peeled parvals lengthwise from one side and leave them attached on the other side.
  • With the help of a knife, take out the pulp from inside the parwal and keep it in a plate and keep the parwal in another plate.
  • Put half a tablespoon of oil in a pan and heat it.
  • Put cumin seeds in hot oil.
  • After roasting asafoetida and cumin, add turmeric powder, green chili, fennel powder, coriander powder and after that add parwal pulp and fry for 2 minutes, red chili powder,
  • And after that add the parwal pulp and fry for 2 minutes, add red chili powder, garam masala, dried mango powder and salt and mix everything well and fry for 3-4 minutes.
  • Switch off the gas.
  • The masala for stuffing inside the parwal is ready.
  • After the masala cools down, add green coriander to it.
  • Now take one parwal, open it and fill it with masala by pressing it well, keep it in a plate,
  • now prepare another parwal by filling masala.
  • All the stuffed parwals are ready.To cook stuffed parwal.
  • Put 2 tbsp oil in the pan and heat it.(Slow down the gas) Put the parwal in the hot oil properly, and cover it and let it cook for 5-6 minutes.
  • Now open the lid of the pan and turn the parwals with the help of tongs and cover again for 5 minutes
  • and let them cook on low flame.
  • Open the lid of the pan and see if the parwals that are cooked from the middle, take them out in a plate, and the sides Make the parwal in the middle.
  • These parwals will be cooked in 2-3 minutes, now take them out in a plate.
  • Your Stuffed Parwal vegetable is ready. Garnish with green coriander over the vegetable, and serve with parantha, chapati or naan and eat.
